North Star Editorial OÜ, trading as Breezyboardcottags, operates breezyboardcottags.mom. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect information when you browse our hotel discovery service, contact us or interact with our links. We are an editorial discovery service and do not operate hotel reservation systems, take payment, issue confirmations or hold room availability.
1. Information we collect
We may receive information that you voluntarily provide, including your name, email address, message contents and any details you include when contacting our editorial desk. We also receive technical information created automatically when a browser visits the site, such as IP address, browser type, device category, language, referring page, pages viewed, approximate region and timestamps. We use this information to deliver pages, protect the service against abuse, understand aggregate readership and respond to enquiries.
We do not intentionally request special-category data, passport details, payment card numbers, reservation credentials or precise location data. Please do not send such information through our contact form. Hotel booking links lead to independent websites whose privacy notices govern their processing.
2. Purposes and lawful bases
We process technical data where necessary to provide a secure website and pursue our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the service. We process contact information to respond to a request, based on steps taken at your request or our legitimate interest in correspondence. Optional analytics and non-essential cookies are used only after consent where required by law. You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing browser storage or contacting us.
3. Cookies and tracking
Essential storage remembers your cookie choice and supports basic interface behaviour. Optional analytics may measure aggregated visits, referral sources and page performance. 4. Third-party processors and links
We use hosting, email delivery, security, analytics and map services where appropriate. These providers process limited information under contractual or legal safeguards and only for their stated function. Our pages also contain links to official hotel websites, Unsplash image delivery and external tourism resources. Once you leave our domain, the destination’s terms and privacy policy apply. We do not control independent hotel processing or guarantee their practices.
5. International transfers
Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we seek an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism. Copies of relevant safeguards may be requested from our contact address, subject to confidentiality and security limitations.
6. Retention and security
Enquiries are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to handle the conversation, maintain business records and meet legal obligations. Technical logs are generally retained for the shortest practical period consistent with security and troubleshooting. We apply access controls, encrypted transport, limited permissions and provider due diligence, but no internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection to processing. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. European residents may complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate. California residents may have additional rights to know, delete and correct personal information; we do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
8. Children and changes
The service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. We may update this policy when our services, law or suppliers change.
